August 10, 2020 An Occurrence

This year has been.....different. I think we can all agree on that. And if not, then I don't understand you. LOL.
Any sort of get-together looks a little different over the last few months. Including baby showers! Yesterday I participated in a drive-by-meet-the-baby event. It was amazingly creative with large photos of the new human displayed for all to see, drinks offered as we met with the new Mama, Dad and Babe {staying in the car} and a goody bag to take as we left! And one of the items included? Play Doh! And why do I seem overly excited about Play Doh you ask? Because of its smell. Obviously. Oh how I love the smell of Play Doh. It takes me back to a younger Ingrid. A time a few decades back where the most stressful thing was not mixing the colors of said Play Doh. Sigh.....now there are grown up "smells" {figuratively} that are a part of my day to day. Stresses of mixing "this" and "that" or not mixing "this" or "that". I didn't know what I was going to write about when I started this piece. But what I do know? Times are different, but I am ok. People and people groups in all sorts of arenas are not getting along, but I am ok. Social Media is a volatile place to get lost in if you go too deep in the comments of news stories posted, but I'm ok. And last, but not least, I still love the smell of Play Doh. The end.
