January 8, 2020 A Daily Occurrence

I have a cool story to tell you about the perks of this delicious beverage {some of you coffee drinkers chuckle when I tell you I love me some McDonalds coffee). Each cup comes with a sticker that can be stuck to a card. Once you fill the card: FREE COFFEE. Well, I had quite a stack of these full/free coffee cards in my car, waiting for a right opportunity to give them to someone. The opportunity showed itself yesterday. I passed them on to a gal that was packing all her earthly belongings in 2 bags. She was very grateful and I returned to my car. As I was backing up, I noticed her walk over to a couple of friends and she proceeded to GIVE THEM SOME OF THE FREE COFFEE CARDS! The whole scene made me cry. The tears were a few things: my ignorance to believe she would just hoard them for herself, the realization she has a community of her own that she cares about, and just the beauty of giving.
