March 4, 2020 A Daily Occurrence

False cheerfulness.
A friend said these two words the other day. The phrase dinged in my ears like that of a sound to get my attention. You see, I do this {I bet we all do this at times}. I go out into the world everyday, leave some of my messy at home and put on a False Cheerfulness mask; smiling and cheery and friendly to strangers, family and friends. Responding "I'm fine" to all who ask {fine is not a feeling}. I mean, In all honesty, I am fine......I'm more than fine most days.....but there are times when pretending and putting on the False Cheerfulness is easier. It's necessary. It's a protection.
But what if we were just a teeny bit more real out there.........
